Mr. Ray Olsen
Education & Work History

From special events for UNICEF, and Avon Products to free-lance work for Fresh Air Communications and The Girl Scouts of America, Ray Olsen has an expansive range of experience and education.

He studied at Parsons School of Design in Manhattan with Richard Steinberg, known for his work with Time-Life books. Ray has also studied at the Nikon School of Photography, and the Allen School of Motion Picture Photography. He learned and practiced wedding photography at Leon Lauffer Studios in Brooklyn, NY, and he has worked in both motion picture and still photography for the Dick Roberts Film Company in Princeton, New Jersey.

My Equipment

Mr. Olsen owns his own equipment that includes a variety of state-of-the-art lenses from extreme wide-angle, to 500mm telephoto. "I can photograph your event or portrait in digital or 35mm or larger format, with any of my Nikon cameras including the Nikon F3HP and many FM 2's." and D70 digital.  In the larger format style, he has the Mamiya 645, which has a negative that is three times larger than a 35mm camera.
